Having looked at it looks good not made it yet
I wish I had used a planer on the 2X4's for width consistency. It would be helpful if you could have included the measurements of the open face of the cabinet once the sides are installed to determine the accuracy of the build.
I am actually an electrician and newer to woodworking and want to learn cabinets so I can build them for my kitchen. I figured I would start by building them for my garage. First, I wanted to find something a little bit smaller and easier and after surfing YouTube I chose this build specifically. This was my first ever attempt making a cabinet and the plans were fantastic to have! It gave me a reference and a guide for the construction. I did deviate from the plans making mine a little bigger and I wanted to try some more advanced joinery so I did locking rabbits with a captured 1/4” plywood bottom and back panel. It really wasn’t that hard to take the plans and do some math to make adjustments. Also, having the video to go along with it makes it super easy. I think this is the perfect first build. I’d definitely recommend!
